Jos Lemmink is professor of marketing and holds a Msc. degree in Business Administration (University of Groningen) and a Ph.D. (University of Limburg). He was marketing advisor to Dutch Post and Telecommunication (PTT) in The Hague and visiting professor at universities in Australia and Belgium. From 2006-2013 and in Summer 2022 he was Executive Dean of the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. He serves and served on a number of International Advisory Boards of Business Schools, and Boards of EQUIS and AACSB.
His area of expertise covers service science and management, service quality, branding, modelling and new media and sensor analytics. Furthermore, he is interested and passionate about Futurizing Business Schools and the impact of business schools in society. He published several books, and articles in e.g. Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Economic Psychology, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Management Studies, International Journal of Research in Marketing and Journal of Retailing. He was editor-in-chief of the Journal of Service Management. He carried out international consultancy and research projects for international companies as well as for universities and business schools around the world. He is founder of servicesciencefactory.com at Maastricht University. Furthermore, he initiated the BISS Institute at the Brightlands Smart Services Campus in Heerlen.
