UMIO Lecturers and Experts

Rudolf Müller

Professor Quantitative Infonomics & Scientific Director BISS

Rudolf’s research interests are on the interface of economic theory, computer science and mathematical optimisation. In particular he is interested in behavioural, game theoretical, and algorithmic aspects of market design. His contributions have been on foundations of market design (implementability of allocation rules, revenue equivalence, communication complexity in auctions) as well as on applications, e.g. public good provision, ad auctions and scheduling. In the past he has published on various topics in combinatorial optimisation, as well as software architectures for scientific cloud computing.

At the BISS institute, Rudolf is heading a multi-disciplinary research team that develops and scientifically evaluates architectures and implementations of data-driven smart services.
